13A – Reading Reflection No. 1
1.
1.
- I did not understand that one of the most richest people in the world was something at the beginning of his life, very different from an entrepreneur. The guy who created Mcdonalds was a pianist at first then he became the creator of Mcdonalds.
- I understood where Kroc was coming from, but I did admire how he put his dedication to his business first. He pushed everything to the side, and he ensured his business would grow. This then created a cain reaction that all his other entities, like relationships, would go down hill
- I did not like how he pushed everyone aside. He went on it alone and dealt with everyone like business. He didn't grow any of his relationships. He kept everything business. This made hi too formal, as if he was a robot.
- His first two stores of Mcdonalds did not go well. He had troubles making them live long. For them to operate it took him a lot of money. He was living paycheck to paycheck. It turned out to be a bad investment.
2. He was a great salesman. he was able to build relationships through his work. He made business friends, that he was honorable with. This helped with his business growth, in a way that no one else can do.
3. The author wrote in a way that was too casual for me. I did not understand this because I thought it what going to be business formal but it was very casual. It made me feel, I was talking to an informal friend.
4. I would ask him, what was your drive t make this need? Then, Who do you go to first to start an idea? I would ask these so I can replicate it and because even more successful than him.
5. He was very successful, so hard work to him is an everyday lifestyle. He did what needed to be done to reach his goals.
