6A – Identifying Opportunities in Economic & Regulatory Trends


  1. Purchasing tobacco is raised to 21 years old now 

Here in Gainesville I noticed it and the tobacco age is now 21 years old. What I hope this does is that is lowers the cancer rate. This hopefully lower the amount of people that still smoke. There is an opportunity is this because there is a program that can be made to educate people about the effects on smoking and people will not smoke. I formed this because I surround myself with smokers who have been smoking since they were 19 and now they have problems at 21 years old. It only took two years but that's all it takes.
  1. Obesity levels at a high right now 

There is an opportunity in here because there is a way to lower child obesity. There are simple ways to edit someones diet. I formed this because I go to the gym and I like to be healthy. I know it is a hard thing to do but it is needed. Health is key. 
  1. Coronavirus spreading across the world
The Coronavirus is something that needs to be treated. People in high numbers are being infected and if they have a low immune system they die sometimes. I believe there is an opportunity in here to find a cure for thsi type of virus. I got this idea from always staying clean and using a lot of germ x. It is good to stay clean but what needs to be done is finding a cure to this virus. 
  1. Tesla new source of energy

Tesla created a new way of energy. Their cars are 100% electric and perform very well. I believe there is an opportunity in this to apply this technology to other things. This will save the earth. I got this idea from watching a lot about the new cyber truck. This is a heavy duty truck that is ran on not diesel but electric. I thought this was cool.

    Hi Tommy, I enjoyed reading your blog post about opportunities in economic and regulatory trends. I was very intrigued about the topic you touched on about raising the Tobacco legal age. I appreciated how you said that in College you have been exposed to Tobacco and know how dangerous it can be. I definitely agree with your standpoint that it is a positive that the Tobacco age has been raised. Hopefully this can cause less college students to be exposed and thus effected to Tobacco.

24A – Venture Concept No. 1 My parking app 1. The opportunity that I took advantage of is the problem with finding parking in laces that have a high demand in parking. These are places that have a lot of traffic of vehicles coming in and out of an area. Some of the forces that helped me come up with this idea is that I go to a school that has little to no parking. This is a great app that I came up with because it will help identify parking spots and it will save time. It is something that people hate and get irritated about. The main target at the moment for me are college campuses. This is essential because it helps people who go to the college and people who are just visiting. This also goes along with workers as well, along with students. I really liked to add the aspect of football game-days. This will really help. 2A – Bug List

2A – Bug List I hate going to the gym and the gym is dirty, as in the weights are not re racked. Some people are just very lazy and think that someone else will do it for them. Going to cook a meal and the dishes that I need to use are dirty in the sink.  I usually use some dishes that I can use for dinner for lunch. When dinner comes along I have to do the dishes before I can cook and this hinders me.  My roommate does not do his dishes He is lazy ans cooks very little compared to me, he claims he will do it later but later is way too long for me and I need the sink space.  Streaming the soccer game and getting it in another language. Some soccer games are in another country and English is not always provided.  Going to scoot and the scooter won't turn on, I have to kick start it.  When is sits at an angle the scoot's gas rumples around.
