29A – Venture Concept No. 2
The main force that helped me come up with this idea is that I go to a college that has little to no parking for all people who use the university.
My main target is still college campuses. I chose these places because I can relate very well also I need to target places that have a large amount of traffic coming in and out of places. They have a lot of visitors that are unfamiliar with the location.
This solves the issue of the lack of clarity of places to park. It puts more help along with understand in parking spots.
My parking app

1. The opportunity that found was when I identified there was a parking problem in my University. This then led me to develop an app that will help anyone in the given area find a parking spot.

2. The focus for this is to have anyone with any type of smart device to be able to use it. This includes IOS and Android for the most part. This will be a big help to have it for both devices, high compatibly, will be good for marketing. I also plan on having it more compatible with more smart device:glasses, watches, headphones. The main thing to start with is the GPS feature. This is the foundation of the app. I will then code with my team the other elements of the app such as the times and spots of parking. This will help on were to park and what time it needs to be left at. There will be notifications sent saying that their timer is going to run out. I need to also add the real time feature so that I can avoid people fighting for certain spots. I will do this by applying sensors in or above the particular spots. I need to do this so the app doesn't have people going to certain spots and fighting over them.
3.The venture concept:
The aspect I need to focus on is the real time updating part. This will be a live feed that people will see if it is available or not, I will put another status for if it is chosen and someone is going to park in it. This will be a [art that it kind of saves the spot and you can get to it. There will also be signs when arriving into campus and it will advertise the app and the purpose for it on campus. This will help the users who are coming in and out and it will avoid them getting a ticket or a tow. In my University parking is taking serious and that is how Gainesville makes its money. People need to know where to park and how long they can park in a certain area. Hw my app will show off, is that it will have real time features. People will be able to go to a certain spot and reserve ti and have updates with notifications on the duration they can park there.
The main resource I got is that I am a third year college student at the University of Florida and I have lived here for three years. I can add my value by adding the knowledge I have gained ver the course of three years and add it to the parking app. I see myself in the company starting it and owning it. I will have people help me make it and I will help make it grow.
Part 3
I really like the feedback I got from people I learned that I need to add not much to my app. People really like it and they would really like to use it. I also learned that I changed and added to this, the fact that this is super helpful for game days. These a days are some of the most busiest. They have a lot fo foreign known people coming in and my app can help them a lot with the parking aspect.

Hi Thomas,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your second venture concept. I think the revisions you made really strengthened your post. I can agree that on campus it is the most brutal to try and find parking during game days. My family has experienced this the hard way with taking over an hour to find a parking spot. I think your app would be super helpful because people that are not familiar with the campus have no idea where to look for a place to park.
